Thailand men’s cricket team have won a bronze medal in the 50-over event in the SEA Games in Cambodia. They beat Indonesia by 3 wickets to claim the bronze.
Indonesia were bowled out for 158 in 43.3 overs as Kamran Senamontree took 4 for 30 and brother Nopphon took 3 for 14.
Thailand knew they had a good chance of victory as Sarawat Desungroen made 33 and Kiatiwut Suttisan reached 31 before retiring hurt. Yodsak Saranonnakkun then hit 37 and the win was sealed by Chanchai Pengkumpta who made an unbeaten 24.
This was Thailand’s most complete performance of the SEA Games and they deserved the reward of their bronze medals.
