THAILAND MAKE A WINNING START TO WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

Thailand Women beat UAE by seven wickets in their first match in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi.

UAE were quickly reduced to 7 for 3 in the fourth over and Thailand were always in a comfortable position.

UAE recovered to 92 for 5 as Kavishka Egodage made an unbeaten 40 but Thailand reached their target with 20 balls in hand..

Nattakan Chantam was in fine form in the recent Quadrangular Series and she made 39 out of an opening stand of 55 with Nannapat Khoncharoenkai who struck the winning boundary as she hit an unbeaten 34.

Thailand face Zimbabwe in their second match who defeated PNG by eight wickets.
