Thailand Women had a fright against Malaysia in the T20 competition at the SEA Games as they were bowled out for 53. The bowlers rose to the challenge and Thailand won by 12 runs.Thailand’s top three all reached double figures but they collapsed to 53 all out in 18.3 overs as old adversary Winifred Duraisingham took 3 for 9.
Malaysia knew it would be difficult against this bowling attack and they managed a total of 41 as the last four wickets fell for three runs. Thipatcha Putthawong again had the best figures with 3 for 3 as Thailand won by 12 runs.
The men also played Malaysia in a T20 match. They had reached 69 for 3 after 10 overs but they only managed a total of113 for 8.
Malaysia won by eight wickets in 12.3 overs as Syed Aziz reached fifty in 27 balls.
