THAILAND TAKE PART IN ICC WOMEN’S T20 WORLD CUP QUALIFIER 

Thailand Women’s cricket  team are in Abu Dhabi for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier where 10 teams are competing for the last two places in the next World Cup.

All teams have been playing a pair of warm-up games and Thailand lost to UAE and Netherlands although their defeat against Netherlands came off the last ball of a super-over.

Thailand are in Group A of the Qualifier along with Sri Lanka, Scotland, Uganda and USA. They will be aiming for a place in the semi-finals at which stage they would be just one win away from a place in the next World Cup.

Thailand are hoping to play in the T20 World Cup  for the second time having enjoyed competing in Australia in 2020.

Thailand start this tournament with a match against Sri Lanka on Friday. Sri Lanka are tough opposition but Thailand have beaten them before.
