Bangladesh clinched a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Thailand in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024, thanks to a stellar all-round performance.
Opting to bat first, Thailand struggled against a disciplined Bangladeshi bowling attack, managing just 96/9 in their 20 overs. Nattaya Boochatham was the standout batter for Thailand with 40 off 41 balls, but Rabeya Khan’s magical spell of 4/14 dismantled their lineup.
Chasing a modest target of 97, Bangladesh made light work of the task, reaching 100/3 in 17.3 overs. Murshida Khatun anchored the innings with a solid 50 off 55 balls, supported by Dilara Akter’s quickfire 17.
Ishma Tanjim added 16, ensuring Bangladesh crossed the finish line with ease. Rabeya Khan, with her brilliant bowling display, was deservedly named Player of the Match.
