62 Special Olympics Thailand Coaches were trained in Cricket by the Thailand National Cricket Association. This is the second training offered by the Association, following the MOU agreement signed by both parties last year. A total of 44 males & 18 female coaches from 34 schools in 21 provinces took part in the clinic, held from 11th to 13th June 2014 at Thammasat University Rangsit Campus in Pathumthani Province. The training was supported partially by the Special Olympics Christmas Record Trust, a grant disbursed from Special Olympics that enables countries to further their work to transform the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Cricket will be a competition sport for Special Olympics Thailand's National games this coming 18-22 August in Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima Province).
