THAILAND LOSE TO SCOTLAND IN WOMEN’S WORLD CUP QUALIFIER
Thailand and Scotland are the two teams in the World Cup Qualifier from outside the ICC Women’s Championship so there was much interest in who would take the honors in this contest.
Thailand gave an improved performance in the field, but Scotland came out on top by 58 runs.
Thailand bowled out Scotland for 206 in 41 overs as Thipatcha Putthawong and Onnicha Kamchomphu took three wickets apiece.
Thailand made a bright start to their innings with an opening stand of 41 but lost 3 wickets for 5 runs before Natthakan Chantam showed a welcome return to form with 63 from 58 balls.
Only three batters reached double figures as Thailand were dismissed for 148 in 31.3 overs to suffer their second defeat of the tournament.
