THAILAND WON THEIR FIRST MATCH IN THE T20I QUAD

Thailand have won their first match in the Thailand T20I Quadrangular being held at TCG in Bangkok from Monday to Friday this week

Thailand beat Bhutan by 10 wickets after bowling them out for 70 in 18 ovérs as all six bowlers shared the wickets and Sarawat Maliwan claimed 3 for 9. Thailand’s openers matched each other shot for shot as Akshay Yadav made 33* from 22 balls and Chaloemwong hit 35* from 20 balls each hitting 6 fours. Thailand reached 72 for 0 in 6.5 overs to win by 10 wickets.

Maldives play Saudi Arabia this afternoon. Saudi Arabia beat Maldives by 98 runs in the second match of the quadrangular series.

Saudi Arabia reached 186 for 6:in 20 overs as Faisal Khan hit 37 from 21 balls and his new opening partner Kashif Siddique made 51.

Manan Ali hit strongly with 47 from 24 balls and Malides made 88 got 8 thanks to Yoosuf Azyan who batted well for 44. Thailand face Saudi Arabia tomorrow morning.
