THAILAND WOMEN ON COURSE FOR SUCCESS AT SEA GAMES

THAILAND FINISH SECOND IN MALAYSIAN WOMEN’S T20 QUADRANGULAR
July 29, 2017

Thailand’s girls were inches short of victory over Sri Lanka Army as Suleeporn Laomi was run out from the last ball with scores level so the match finished as a tie. It was heartbreak for the Thai team as a win would have sent them to the top of the table in the Malaysian Women’s T20 Quadrangular and the girls looked well on course after they had bowled out the opposition for just 44 as Sainamin Saenya and Suleeporn Laomi both claimed three wickets. Thailand also struggled with the bat as their openers were both dismissed for ducks. They were a disastrous 31 for 8 when Sainamin and Suleeporn came together and the diminutive pair were so close to pulling off a thrilling victory. If the girls show the same fighting spirit in the SEA Games that gold medal can still be theirs.
