Thailand's men's team had won their first match in the SEA Games 50-over cricket but it was very different against Malaysia.

The hosts made 265 for 6 with Virandeep Singh hitting 79 soThailand needed to bat well to make a match of. There were some poor strokes played and even top scorer Chanchai Pengkamta was run out for 21. Thailand were bowled out for 105 as Malaysia won by 160 runs. The Thai boys will have learnt some important lessons and are still in contention for medals.
